About Our District

Willapa Valley School District # 160 is located in Menlo, about 50 miles west of Chehalis and 6 miles east of Raymond in the lush and beautiful Willapa Valley.  We take pride in our schools, our students, our staff, and our community.

The District serves about 400 students in grades P-12.  Updated facilities, small class sizes, ample access to technology, and a strong CTE program characterize the district.  The district’s small size allows for tailored instruction to meet the needs of individual students.  We know our students and their families; we know their abilities and their needs; we know their dreams for the future.

The District mascot is the Viking, and we take pride in our strong academic and athletic traditions.   We have formed an athletic cooperative with the Pe Ell school district for football, boys' baseball, and girls' fastpitch; these teams are known as the Titans.

Willapa Valley School District's mission statement reads:

The Willapa Valley School District provides educational, social, and recreational opportunities for all students and community members by providing accessible facilities, programs, and activities that support life-long learning and promote involvement, commitment and contribution to society.
