Pe Ell and Willapa Valley will continue the PWV sports combine for the 2027–28 school year as planned. However, with the November 15, 2026 deadline approaching,  a decision must be made regarding the future of the combine for subsequent school years for scheduling and planning.  Because this decision is so very important for our athletes, our schools and our communities, we are asking everyone to please take a couple of minutes to share your thoughts on the PWV Combine and its future.  The information gathered will be shared with the PWV Committee and both School Boards as well as our communities. Based on the results, we may also hold community meetings for additional input.  Both the Pe Ell and Willapa Valley School Districts greatly appreciate your time, thoughtful feedback, and participation in this important decision-making process.  Thank you for being part of the conversation and for supporting our students and communities.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES

WILLAPA VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 160

Notice is hereby given that Willapa Valley School District No. 160, in accordance with Chapter 39.80 RCW, is requesting Statements of Qualifications from qualified architectural and engineering firms interested in providing professional architectural services for a planned modernization/addition capital project and other potential capital projects for the District.

The anticipated project includes the replacement/addition to the existing Willapa Valley Elementary School, including structural upgrades, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) upgrades, and new architectural finishes for approximately 10,000 square feet. The project is anticipated to follow a traditional design-bid-build delivery method, with completion anticipated by the end of summer 2029.

The District is seeking firms with demonstrated experience in public school projects, particularly experience with small rural school districts, major modernization and renovation projects, seismic upgrades, and construction within occupied school facilities in the Pacific Northwest.

Statements of Qualifications must be submitted electronically by email no later than:

Questions regarding this RFQ must be submitted in writing to Tammy McMullen at tammym@willapavalley.org no later than October 16, 2026.

The District anticipates selecting the architectural firm in November 2026. The District reserves the right to modify the selection process, waive informalities or irregularities, select a firm without interviews, reject any or all qualifications, and make the selection that it determines to be in the best interest of the District.

All qualified firms, including minority- and women-owned firms, lawfully engaged in the practice of architecture under Chapter 18 RCW are encouraged to submit qualifications.
